There is no more intimate moment in life than when a mother brings her baby to earth. Holding moms in these moments is what doulas do. Let me walk with you through the months, weeks, or days leading up to your birth and answer all your many questions.

Your doula is not just another provider in the room, as a doula I have been told I was "like a mom", "the sister I always wanted", and "the one person who put me first during the whole experience." Your doula is like the maid of honor- she will hold your hair if you puke, make sure everyone follows your plan, and remind you just how amazing you are the whole time. Its also like having a birth bouncer- no one will walk over or talk over you in your birth space. You call the shots and your doula backs you up. Physical and emotional support, prayer and presence, peace and joy all come into play when you chose the right doula for your birth.

Your schedule may be tighter than ever before which is why childbirth education is incorporated directly into our planning sessions. We can meet up to five times and cover everything from labor stages and placenta FAQs to postpartum mental health and safe sleep. You will be equipped to make confident decisions about your birth plan and ask important questions of your medical provider.
Support should come from every member of your birth team. A doula provides support that looks like a sister one minute and a football coach the next. I am a buffer in the labor room and a shoulder to cry on in the postpartum weeks. I also help your partner know best how to support you during pregnancy, labor, and in those early foggy days of newborn navigation. You do not have to do this alone.

You do not need to ask permission, you have a right to know your options, and you are allowed to say "no" to any intervention or individual who doesn't make you feel safe. Throughout the planning process, I will help you develop a voice that will be heard during labor, and I will back you up every step of the way. I will not leave you to figure things out alone, but will stay by your side until baby is in your arms and all your wishes have been honored by the medical staff. I am there for you 100%.

Hi there! Nice to meet you!I'm Katie Crow a certified labor doula and certified birth photographer. I have been married to the love of my life for over a decade and experienced birth for myself six times each with a unique story. I love to laugh, learn, and serve others. After working with pregnant women in our community as an advocate for five years, I moved to birth work and became a approved Medicaid provider in 2023. Since then I have strived to build community relationships and work closely with the St. Clair and Lapeer County Health departments, Spero Center, and Serenity House Communities. Together we connect families with the resources they need and are changing birth in this generation! There is no greater honor than to be invited into someone's birth journey. Labor SupportYour doula will meet with you 3-4 times to prepare you for the birth experience, answer questions, and work on your customized birth plan. Unlimited text and phone support in the months leading to labor, unlimited in-person labor support, and a postpartum visit to process your birth and address any initial newborn or postpartum questions.
